The children had so much fun taking part in different activities throughout the day dressed up as their favourite book character. They definitely enjoyed our teacher swap!
This year, the focus of World Book Day was ‘READ YOUR WAY’, aiming to champion children’s reading choices. Examples of this include encouraging children to take books home to read, to share their book ideas, and ask for new recommendations. It is also important that children know that listening to audiobooks or to people reading to them, is also a way for them to enjoy reading. If that is what they like best, that’s ok too!
