Admissions Information
Scoil Oilibhéir Naofa is a junior primary school. We cater for children aged 4, on or before 30th April in the school year in which they are due to start Junior Infants, and we continue up to Second Class.
Admissions 2027 – 2028
The school will commence accepting applications for admissions on 5th October 2026 until the 30th of October 2026. Applications received after the 30th of October will be dealt with as late applications.
ENROLMENT FORMS 2027-2028 WILL GO LIVE ON THE 5TH OCTOBER at 7AM.
Mandatory Parental Forms: Mainstream Enrolment 2027 – 2028 and Mid-Year Enrolment 2026- 2027
If you wish to apply for a place in mainstream classes for the 2027-2028 or Mid-year 2026 – 2027, you must fill in the enrolment form and select the correct admission list. You will then need to fill in the information and consent form/permissions below:
- Enrolment Form-ensure birth certificate, proof of address and reports (if applicable) are uploaded
- Information and consent form/permissions (this information will be used should your child be offered a place)
Mandatory Parental Forms: Autism Class Enrolment 2027-2028 and Mid-Year Enrolment 2026 – 2027
If you are applying for a place in our autism classes, the fully completed enrolment form must be accompanied by:
Professional report(s) outlining:
- Diagnosis of Autism: DSM IV/V or ICD 10/11 (psychologist, psychiatrist, multi-disciplinary report)
AND
- A demonstration of the understanding of complexity of the child’s overall level of need/s evidenced in the professional reports
AND
- Given the severity or complexity of the child’s support needs, a clear professional recommendation as to what educational placement type would be most appropriate to best meet the child’s needs, along with the rationale for same
AND
- A Letter of Eligibility from the NCSE confirming that the child is known to them and that the child has the required diagnosis and recommendation for a special class for Autism. Letters of Eligibility apply only to the school year to which the notification to the NCSE refers.
- Enrolment Form Autism Class ensure birth certificate, proof of address, NCSE letter of eligibility and report(s) are uploaded
- Information and consent form/permissions (this information will be used should your child be offered a place)
All enrolments must be accompanied by a birth certificate, proof of address, reports and Letters of Eligibility.

Information for New Pupils and Parents
Please watch the induction video from our principal Maria White. In the video, she answers many questions that you may have about your child starting in our school. This induction video takes the place of the face to face meeting that would normally be held for parents of incoming junior infants. It was created in June 2020 but the information remains relevant for the coming school year.
