New School Garden

22nd May, 2026

We are delighted to celebrate the opening of our new school garden! It is a wonderful new space for our pupils to learn about nature, planting and the environment while spending time outdoors.

To mark the occasion, every class in the school planted sunflowers. The children were very excited to take part and are looking forward to watching their flowers grow over the coming weeks.

These pictures show Ms. Fitzpatrick’s class after planting their sunflowers. The class also had the opportunity to ask our caretaker, Maurice, lots of interesting questions about how sunflowers grow and how to care for them properly. The children really enjoyed learning from his knowledge and experience.

A big thank you to everyone who helped make our new garden possible. We can’t wait to see it bloom throughout the year!
