Covid 19 update

Covid-19 update February 2022

Continuing to term 1 2022 - 2023

Mandatory mask wearing for staff and physical distancing for staff and pupils has been discontinued. Hand hygiene, ventilation and isolating with symptoms are still in place. See the information note from the Department of Education here.

We will therefore need to continue to sanitise on entry to the school building and hand washing or sanitising throughout the day. Children with skin sensitivities can choose to use their own sanitiser as they enter the building. Many thanks for your on-going co-operation.

Covid-19 update - August 2021

Our Covid-19 response plan has been updated to reflect current guidelines. We have included ventilation and sanitising of iPads in our risk assessment. The response plan has also been updated to show where your child's class will be lining up at home time. Entrance doors and arrival and dismissal procedures are the same as last year. This may be updated slightly when the new car park opens.

Covid 19 update - May 2020

Scoil Oilibhéir Naofa have put a plan in place in preparation for teachers and outdoor workers being allowed to return to the school during phase 1 of the Covid 19 roadmap.

in line with government guidelines, Maria White (Principal) and Sarah Liddy (Deputy Principal) are the appointed lead workers’ representatives ensuring the Covid 19 safety measures are strictly adhered to in our workplace.

Scoil Oilibhéir Naofa staff have been given pre return to work forms and we have implemented our Covid19 response plan. Our aim is to maintain the highest standards of hygiene to ensure we keep everyone as safe as possible.

Our response plan is subject to change, as guidelines change and update.

The Board of Management and management team at Scoil Oilibhéir Naofa are working hard to put plans in place for later phases of the roadmap, subject to the information and guidance we receive.

We are proud of the resilience of our school community - in particular our staff, parents and children. We look forward to the day when we can welcome the children back into our school.
